Verdict

BEEBEE (11) is struggling to find a second win but his recent form has been sound. Raced handy and was strong through the line when a close fourth over 5f at Ballina last start. Better placed today over a bit more ground so this gives him a great chance to break the drought. POSEIDON'S SON (2) tackled a Class 3 first-up over 5f at Ballina last time out and did a reasonable job to be beaten less than three lengths. Down in grade today and this longer journey is to his advantage. Looks the obvious threat. WANJINA ROSE (7) dug deep in the final stages to hang on for third in a comparable race to this at Port Macquarie recently. Just two placings from 13 visits to Grafton hoses down the enthusiasm, but she is still worth each-way consideration. LA NARRADORA (10) put the writing on the wall with a much better run at Armidale last Sunday. Very fit and in the mix. LOVE RAT (4) can improve out to a more suitable trip at the third run back from a spell.
