RUPESTRIS (9) lightly raced gelding with a stack of upside. Stalked the good tempo when a fighting second over 6f at this track. Near his top for this and expected to go close despite drawing out. MAHMOA (8) showed solid improvement at her first run back when sat on the speed for a narrow second over 7f at Casino. Will roll forward in a race devoid of speed and gets his chance to get off the mark. STRENUOUS (10) showed early speed before he faded in the straight to run sixth over 7f at Ballina. Expecting the winkers can do the trick third-up. GIAPPONESE (7) comes down from Rockhampton and now in the Stephen Lee yard. Only had the three career starts and returns with the two even trials. Keep safe from the good gate.
