PELEUS (1) is the horse to beat after resuming with a determined Kembla Grange win as a well-supported favourite, overcoming early contact and keenness before beating Me Me by just under a length. His earlier second in a BM68 at Kembla Grange on soft ground also reads well for this, and Tommy Berry staying aboard strengthens the case. SPEEDY HENRY (6) is the main danger fresh, with his Randwick-Kensington Class 3 second last campaign, wet-track record and solid Scone trial giving him a strong platform. ORYX (5) has not fired in two recent runs, but his track-and-distance record and jockey upgrade keep him in the place mix. SAVOCA (7) was better than the market suggested when fourth in a BM74 at Port Macquarie after early contact and late interference, and his wet-track record gives him a genuine way into the minors.
