FOREST KING (4) returned for his second prep with a struggling sixth over 6f at Rosehill on the heavy (9) surface on July 18. Finds a suitable race on the firmer surface and the blinkers go on. Leading contender. ZUBBA STORM (2) undefeated in two starts since joining the Mack Griffith yard. Anchored with the 133lbs when he rounded them up with ease to salute over 5f at Gunnedah. Jumps in grade and trip and can play a leading role from the inside gate. BETTER LATE (6) gelded over the break and worth noting his two wins have come first-up. Primed for this with the two slick trial wins and ticks plenty of boxes with Ash Morgan aboard. TELLURIUM (5) is improving with racing and got off the mark as fav at his third start with a narrow win over 6 ¼f at Newcastle. Blinkers go on and he has the upside to play a leading role again.
