Competitive. LEONARDO DA GREY (2) started at $4.20 last time and ran below expectations at this track over 1m. Jumped from the outside barrier and that cruelled. He'd done a good job, beaten just 1.4L at Ascot first-up and placed this trip/grade and a $2.2F following. Maps better today, and this distance suits. Rates tough to beat. GOLDEN CHATTER (3) didn't finish it off in tougher at Pinjarra Scarpside, but went close at Pinjarra two back and won his Maiden at Belmont the one after. Races forward and has a handy 4lbs claim. A decent chance to bounce. ARCHENEMY (1) came from well back easily winning a CL2 over this journey and then gave away a big start again, just missed in tougher than this. Will have to do it the hard way, but he'll be in the finish with average luck. CATERAN (5) has been plain his last two but his form prior stacks up. He may show more today.
