SPEEDY ONE (1) scored over today's journey two back at Beaudesert under the steadier of 64lbss. Struggled in town last time but back in this grade from a good gate he makes plenty of appeal. XERRI (2) has been a touch underwhelming this prep. Best recent effort was two back when just outside the placings over 5f at Dalby. Drops in grade today on the last run and Tierney's 4lbs claim helps. A better performance will not surprise. JEMELDI (3) fanned wide on the turn and did a good job to work home into fifth in a BM70 over 5 ¼f at Toowoomba recently. Pre-post favourite on the back of that sort of form in far better races. Poses an obvious threat. STAR VENTURE (9) is fitter for two runs back from a spell and will find this a little easier than her latest assignment. ENCHAANTED (12) has been on or about the mark all prep. Interesting move to pop the blinkers on now - must be respected.
