ROYAL BOMBADIER (3) switched from a NSW barn and resumed with a placing over this trip at Ipswich in stronger. Has an inside gate, and a 4lbs claimer is engaged. He's placed 3/4 second-up and will be hard to beat. RAINSITPOURS (4) accounted for a maiden field over 5 ½f at Armidale last start. He's trialled well at Warwick since, and while this is stronger, he won't have to improve much to make the finish. GROOVE JET (6) was plain at Toowoomba CL1 but looked to be heading in the right direction prior. Has the blinkers on for the first time, and they may spark a sharper effort. PEACH GALANTES (13) hit the frame two starts ago at this track over 7f and then was outgraded at Ipswich. Has a wide gate but will be hitting the line switching back to a shorter sprint.
