Verdict

THUNDEROUS (1) found the front a fair way out and tried hard only to concede close to home when resuming over this course and distance last start. Circumstances similar today so with that run under the belt he looks a great chance to go one better. ZARIPPA (3) made it three minor placings from the last four runs when he closed strongly but just came up short over this track and trip three weeks ago. Tricky gate to contend with but on current form he is sure to play a key role. PEACH GALANTES (9) has been racing well here over longer trips of late. This is short of her best but she is one to watch for in the concluding stages. AUREATE (2) comes here off a good third in better company at Grafton a fortnight ago. Back in trip but has placed two from two at 5 ½f. In the mix. TIME TO CRY (6) has forgotten how to win but her recent second at Rockhampton was encouraging.
