There will be plenty of scratchings. HE DA BOSS (1) is free running and peaks off a narrow defeat over 5f at Dalby. Was heavily bet in that and has the early speed to clear the awkward gate. Deserves the win and gets his chance in this line-up. VERY DEMURE (10) led in the same contest first-up and held on well beaten 2.3L. She'd switched yards and has more to give. A winning chance. BETTY BOOM (7) didn't enjoy the heavy track at Ballina, but had impressed placing here over this distance first-up. Has a wide gate to contend with, but can feature with average luck. ALIZA (4) creates interest first-up following a stable switch from NSW. Is capable enough and has a handy 4lbs claim. The betting will be key.
