Verdict

Have to take a couple of these on faith. CONTEMPORARY (1) is a former Victorian who has run the gambit of all the feature Victorian sprint races over winter before tackling a quality sprint at Flemington. Huge class drop as he heads north to the new yard and anything like best form goes close here. Two years since a win and generally races over a little further but senior rider on from a low draw and class will go a long way. Similarly ASTAPOR (8) comes off city Brisbane form and has first start for the new barn. Goes well fresh and weighted to feature if anywhere near best. KRACKACAN (5) is a speedy type with a strong third-up record and gets chance. GOOD LIEUTENANT (2) is an honest type fitter for a good return and has to be included. DIDDLEY SQUAT (3) has been freshened since a poor run last time but did place here the start prior.
