Verdict

WOOTTEN HYDE (10) has bumped into the airborne Fabulantes at his last two runs, beaten just a length when they last met at Doomben six weeks ago. Gets in beautifully with 53kgs and while fresh can run another big race. THE WHEELBARROW (3) also comes off a six-week let-up and is lining up for the hat trick. Hitting the line well in mile races so this is short of his best, but while on the new side he is a definite contender. VIVIKA (9) came with a barnstorming finish but missed by a whisker when resuming over 5f at this track recently. Raced once over 6f and finished fourth to Alpha Sofie which is decent form. Strips fitter and should give a good account once again. DR FARTHING (4) won first-up over 5f then looked in need of more ground when midfield over the same trip last time. Comes right under notice with the aid of the inside alley. BRAVE MONARCH (2) is a promising youngster who is ready to fire first-up following a strong trial win at Doomben recently.

Second-up. First-up after seven months 2nd of 12 at this track 3yo Hcp on March 21 over 5f, nose behind Angel Ladder with 125lbs at $5.50. Previously second-up 4th of 11 at this track 3yo Hcp on August 2 over 6f, 3 len behind Alpha Sofie with 120lbs at $2.60. Looks in need of the longer journey now so she is right in this.
