There was a stack of merit in his 3L defeat from a wide gate in a rich Magic Millions Maiden Plate at the Gold Coast, followed by an easy short-priced Maiden win at the track, where he led all the way over 7f. Ben Thompson stays aboard and he can take the next step with average luck in running. PROMINENT LAD (6) is third-up and brings close-up placings from The Sunshine Coast and Doomben last time. Steps up to the mile and KWT replaces the 7lbs apprentice. Has an inside barrier and will get every chance to post his second win. POSSIBILITIES (12) built on her easy Maiden win with a 1L defeat over this trip in stronger at Doomben. Has an inside gate and a bounce isn't out of the question.
