Tricky. MACHRIMORE (9) was beaten a long neck resuming at Beaumont (Newcastle) and then was safely held on the line in the $250,000 Magic Millions Maiden Plate. Presents fitter and has the blinkers applied for the first time. Has Ben Thompson aboard today, and the well-bred filly will be hard to beat. HERMIONE PRANCER (14) disappointed at Newcastle third-up but was within range the two prior at Warwick Farm. Has been switched north on an 11-day return, and she has the early speed to use the inside barrier to her advantage. She's still well shy of her best number posted at Newcastle on debut. TAM NA GHAR (8) brought sharp trials and did a good job to place at the Sunshine Coast over 6f on debut. She's sure to appreciate the longer journey and can get into the money. FORGING AHEAD (4) is still a Maiden but has gone close in his last two and was backed off the map over a mile at Doomben last time. Has a cruel barrier, but he rates well enough and can hit the line hard.
