Currie-trained PROVANCE (6) was heavily backed first-up winning a 65 over 5f at Sunshine Coast. The speedy galloper is further improved and proven second-up. Tumbles in weight and that brings him right into it. The Matt Dunn yard is flying and has EMPEROR (1) engaged first-up. He's placed at Group 3 level and rates strongly. Has won fresh and has two trials under the saddle. Has a handy 7lbs claim and is well-placed. ACRES AWAY (2) resumes for the Currie barn and has won 3/5 fresh. It's been a while between drinks, but he's capable of making the finish on his best form. AMORE VELOCE (3) has been freshened off two disappointing efforts and kept up to the mark with an Eagle Farm trial win. Uses the low gate and it won't surprise to see the talented mare back on track.
