Verdict

SKYGLIDER (13) has caught the eye at both runs this prep in shorter races. Settled near the tail most recently in the 6f Gold Coast Guineas before launching late to be beaten under two lengths. Will go back again from an outside draw and prove difficult to hold out at his first try at 7f. SUNSET DREAMING (14) got a mile out of her ground in the Silk Stocking over this trip at the Gold Coast three weeks ago and was never a factor. Races well here and her third-up record reads well. Draws a far better gate and deserves another chance. PASIMA (9) overcame a slow start to get up for second when resuming over this distance at the Gold Coast recently. Yet to miss the frame in four second-up runs. Genuine contender. SOOTHSAYER (10) has had two runs back from nearly three years off the scene and performed well. Blinkers off third-up over an extra 1f looks a nice set-up. BENGAL DIAMOND (16) impressed in the Silk Stocking last start. Far better served at the barrier draw this time.
