Verdict

Hard to fault THE REAL MAN (1) who comes into the race in line for a winning hat-trick. Was a length winner as favourite two back beating a few of these then a determined winner as favourite again here last time. Building a top record over the course and distance and looks tough to beat again. WILD NIGHTS (5) was doing her best work late last start to get up for third over 5 ½f at Hobart. All set to run well. VOLKANOVSKI (8) has a moderate winning strike rate but performed well last time at Hobart, finishing third and only 2 lengths from the winner at the end of 5f after being in contention on the bend. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. GEE GEES ME BOY (4) turned in a fair effort at Launceston over 6f at his last run five months ago, finishing sixth and beaten 3 lengths. Two-time winner fresh and expecting an effective return. OZONICA (2) has claims if presented on song.
