Verdict

A good race. ILOVETHISTOWN (3) is a leader who won a Launceston and then just missed there this grade. Raced favourite in that, and if she takes to the synthetic, she can bounce back. Stablemate ROUNDLE PARK (5) is also a live chance. Has been up for a while, but is racing well and comes back in grade briefly freshened. Can use the inside gate, and he's raced well previously on this surface. Note that the leading striker, Byrne Burke, sticks with the above. BAYSIDE (2) has been busting to win at Launceston with good support and has won here over the trip. Has to be considered as well. OBVIOUSLY GOOD (1) went well enough two back at Launceston to give him a chance. The claim assists back in grade. SIMPLY DEEP (6) always puts in and will be around the mark.
