COMONGIN (4) had his first run for 11 months last start and was never in contention in an unsuitably short 5f dash at Tamworth. Has a better second-up record and this trip is more to his liking. Nicely drawn to play a key role in the outcome. MARVEL MAN (5) switched to the Cameron Crockett stable and was eight weeks between runs when a creditable fourth last time out over 5 ½f at Dubbo. Should kick on following that outing and an extra ½f is ideal. FEARN TRICK (11) made late inroads to finish a close fourth over 5 ½f at Coonamble a fortnight ago in a return to form. Sure to be getting home hard again. OLUFSEN (7) drove through the line with purpose but just missed at his latest run over 5f at Tamworth. Back a little in grade and will appreciate the extra distance this afternoon. BLUE DE BEERS (2) was a real eye-catcher over 5 ½f at Coonamble last time. Sure to be putting in the big strides late again.
