Verdict

CROOK (8) has been racing in great heart and deserves a win. Settled just off midfield then drove hard late but just missed last start over 6f at Coonamble. Four runs at 5 ½f have yielded two wins and two placings. Honest mare who is perfectly placed to score. DIS IS HEAVEN (5) found 4 ½f a bit slick at Newcastle last time when second-up from a spell out but did rally late to finish third in the small field. Generally hits form at this stage of the prep and today's race looks a far better fit. FETES DES MERES (9) returned to form recently when a close second over 7f at Dubbo. Likely to go back but the helter skelter pace will suit - one to watch for in the dying stages. MISTER BIANCO (1) brings the superior form to the table but 63kgs after the claim is a decent steadier. Each-way. ALL IN THE MIND (2) has not appeared since March 2025. Smart when right so keep an eye on the betting.
