TALAKAI (3) has returned in fine order this prep with a couple of narrow defeats, most recently as a $1.80 favourite over 7f at Coonamble when edged out in a four-way thriller. Scored third-up last prep on the Sunshine Coast. Expect her to be peaking today over her pet distance. EASY TRAPEZEE (5) scored a tough win two back over 6 ½f at Dubbo then gave away a start and couldn't make up ground over 7 ½f at Port Macquarie last time. Yet to prove himself at this sort of trip but does reunite with Shannen Llewellen who gets the best out of him. MARIOTA (4) came from midfield in a strung-out field to be beaten in a photo over 7f at Coonamble recently. Should be spot on at the third run back. NOBLE ONE (2) made it three wins from his last four outings when dominant over this trip at Coonamble a fortnight ago. Veteran with a new lease on life - do not underestimate. COELLA (6) is nearly two years without a win but recent efforts have been encouraging.
