SOLAR POWER (7) underrated gelding who relished the extra trip second-up when taken to the front for a dominant victory over 7 ½f at Port Macquarie in C3 grade. Rolls sticks and will only get better as he gets deeper into the prep. SUPREME COMMAND (3) indicated a win was imminent when he launched late for a narrow second over 6 ½f at Newcastle in a BM64. Has won twice over 7 ½f and this trip won't be a problem. CHANGE THE DATE (4) sent to town on the quick backup with a fading eighth over 1 m at Doomben. Assess on earlier runs with the key jockey change. Solid top-three player. CLYDE (1) tough gelding who will find this more to his liking after finishing fifth over the 1m at Warwick Farm in BM72 grade. In peak condition and worth plenty of thought.
