Verdict

LONG LIVE (3) best effort to date in his five career runs when closed quickly to finish second over 4 ½f at Scone. Has the pace to get over from the wide gate and will prove hard to run down. SUNSET ADIOS (8) has since been gelded after he savaged the line to secure fourth over 4f at Ipswich. Since kept up to the mark with a 5 ¼f trial. Open to further improvement and can take a hand in the finish. IRENOVA (9) returns with the two mixed trials in a weaker contest. Slow into stride on debut and failed to make an impression with a disappointing ninth over 6f at Ipswich last April. Expecting more this preparation. POINTY END (10) made her debut three weeks ago with a respectable fourth over 4 ½f at Newcastle. Will find this more suitable from the right draw.
