Verdict

All of the raced division drop back to a short sprint. WON FOR VICKI (10) debuts and is a long way from home. She was close up in a recent 3 ?f trial at Kembla Grange and, notably, JVO sticks from that. Has a low gate and finds a winnable assignment. The betting will be key. Ditto with PROFIT IN PARADISE (11), who did nothing at the Gold Coast on debut, but came off a 7L trial win at the track. He's been gelded, and no surprise to see him race well. SWEET MARLENE (8) has placed over 5f in both starts this preparation and has more to offer. Will likely push forward and has winning claims. SUNVOLT (6) found a place here and then spiked his numbers when beaten a head over 7f at Grafton. Has the outside gate but has been freshened up and is sure to finish hard. COMME CI COMME CA (1) is fast and was good at Port Macquarie first-up before folding up at Grafton over 5f. Presents fitter and can give a better sight.
