VALIANT JOAN (9) brings the most reliable recent profile, having beaten Holy Holy Holy in a BM50 at Longreach after fighting hard, and she had already been beaten just under two lengths in BM60 company at Aramac. Her season record reads strongly and she is proven enough around 5f to be the one they have to get past. DANCE WIZZARD (3) is the main danger, with his Mt Isa second given extra merit by racing wide throughout, while his record at this track and distance keeps him right in the contest. LEUCAENA (10) has been beaten just over six lengths in both recent Class B runs, but her two placings from three attempts at this track and distance give her a genuine place base if she sharpens up. WITHOUT (8) comes through a stronger BM60 line, beaten a neck as favourite at Richmond Qld, and her consistency over the past 12 months gives her solid claims.
