Verdict

LOVE SHUCK (3) consistent gelding who nearly pinched the Wagga Town Plate three-back with a game second. Closed quickly with the 138lbs when a gritty second over 6f at Canberra Acton. Gets the right set-up for this and doesn't have to improve much to win this. TUSCANY (8) progressive gelding going quickly through the grades on the provincial circuit. Sat on the speed and showed plenty of heart to get the upper hand with the 132lbs over 6f at Kembla Grange. Has the early speed to hold a position and sure to be thereabouts. PERFECT PICTURE (10) was a month between runs when she went back from the wide gate with a battling eighth over 6 ½f at Warwick Farm. Kept ticking over since with a 5f trial at Hawkesbury. Blinkers go on and can return to form quickly. RIMBAUD (4) thereabouts of late and doesn't have to improve much to win this fourth-up. Can stalk the good speed and overcome the sticky barrier. Each way.

The run before that crossed from a wide gate to lead but couldn't hold on when 2nd of 16 at Wagga Town Plate on April 30 over 6f, 0.8 len behind Harry's Bar carrying 119lbs at $61.
