Competitive. AGAINST THE LAW (8) hit the line nicely second-up, beaten 1.75 lengths over today's journey at Gosford. He has more to give, and Lloyd stays in the saddle. Will be further improved and will carry 9lbs less at this level. Can win with average luck. XPRESSO (5) brings threatening form this grade to peak and finally draws an inside barrier. There was plenty of merit in his effort at Rosehill last time, and he's well placed with the 4lbs claim. ZALE (9) has pieces of form that stack up for this. Led beaten 1L over 6f at Gosford in a 68, and three back was beaten a whisker at Warwick Farm in this grade from the front. He's likely to control the race and can't be taken lightly. It's been a long while since DEAR JEWEL (13) posted her Maiden win, but she's going well and will arrive here at peak fitness. Capable of making the finish.

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.
