Verdict

Expecting the Waterhouse-Bott yard to hold the aces. SPANISH ARTIST (3) raced forward and walloped the Kembla Grange Maidens by 3.8L over 6f on debut. Tackled a 64 at Rosehill over 7f following and was beaten just 0.9 lengths. Raced a short-priced favourite in both and Clark sticks aboard. Has plenty of upside and can bounce back. Stablemate SUPERFABULISTIC (5) is also heading in the right direction. Spiked his numbers narrowly beaten in a 72 over 7 ½f at Hawkesbury and has a handy 4lbs claim today and a much softer gate. A live chance. ERIN JO (1) jumped at a short quote over 6 ¼f at Newcastle first-up and missed a whisker. Won a Warwick Farm Maiden over 7f prior as expected and steps up to 7 ¾f today with the tongue tie on for the first time. Collett stays aboard and she's got plenty of scope for improvement. CHISPA (7) peaks with JMac sticking, and she has more to offer. ANGEL CITY (8) has been winning easily and can't be taken lightly.
