AU - Canterbury - Race 5

SLINKY (1) improved sharply last start at the second run back from a spell, battling on well to be beaten under two lengths over 6f at Wyong (metro). Strips fitter and this is a significant drop in grade. Looks ready to win a pretty ordinary race. SUPER BRIGHT (3) was an alarming drifter and ran accordingly on Boxing Day at Randwick. That followed a close sixth in Saturday company over 6 ½f at Rosehill two back. Cherry-ripe after three runs back and if on-song she is good enough to win this. PRETTY TAVI (7) returns from a ten-week spell. In the money at four of six first-up runs, including a couple of wins. Nicely weighted and draws a good gate so plenty to like about her prospects. SMILING PROPHET (5) was run off her legs over 5f at Warwick Farm most recently. Unplaced at all seven runs at or around this trip but a nice fourth two back over 6f at Wyong is decent form for a race of this quality. RINGAROSA (2) goes well when fresh and is right in the mix.
