EVENTS (4) trialled well and then raced forward on debut beaten 0.5L over 6f at Rosehill. Is sure to have come on and she jumps from the inside barrier with Jason Collett sticking aboard. Has upside and is well placed to open her account. COLD GIN (3) has been off the scene for 343 days but has two trials under her belt, winning the first of them. She placed this track/trip two starts (heavy conditions), and that stacks right up. Maps for a soft run but given the time away the betting will be key. MARIEMAC (5) is a Michael Freedman-trained first-starter by Maurice, who creates plenty of interest. She's been well educated and won her latest Randwick trial with race rider Berry aboard. Jumps from an inside barrier and a bold run is likely. CHEEKY SORT (1) returned to form, beaten 1.2L at Wyong over 5 ½f, where she led to the shadows of the post. This is tougher, but has upside and Lloyd rides from a handy gate. SIMPLY UNIQUE (7) debuts owning a big Rosehill trial win. Keep safe.
