CRUSADER VOYAGE (2) was tried over this trip at Group 1 level at the back of his previous preparation and presents third-up off a narrow defeat in a Super Maiden over 1m at Hawkesbury, where he led them up. Berry sticks aboard, and the gelding has been kept up to the mark with a Rosehill trial. The blinkers come off, and he's ready for the step up in trip. SCOOP THE POOL (6) peaks off a solid effort over 1 ?m at Newcastle. Needs to be at his best, but JMac is a key jockey engagement, and he can fight out the finish. SARAPO (5) is fit and has been knocking on the door. He will run it out and is in the mix.
