He was behind Rattle The Stars in his first trial who was runner-up at the provincials on debut and hit the line alongside the Saturday metro winner Barrengarry at his latest trial. GROUNDCOVER (2) showed good ability in his debut campaign, flying late on debut before a 4.3L defeat at Queanbeyan before the break. Winkers replace the blinkers for his return and Heywood's booking is a good push for his chances. Expecting a bold showing. DEFIANCE (1) resumes today in his first run for the new stable after tackling two provincial maidens last campaign, jumping in the market. Back to country level now and he makes plenty of appeal. HIGHWIRE ARTIST (5) jumped favourite on debut in the Clan O'Sullivan. The trial going in showed he has some ability and he can return on a positive note.
