EXCELBOOM (2) bounced back last start and got the job done by 2 lengths over 5f at this track. Taking on a better field but he is worth serious consideration again. ELECTRIC BRAE (1) is returning from a spell of three-and-a-half months. Finished fifth at Rockhampton over 5 ½f at the first run last prep. Now with a new trainer Matthew McGuire, and looks a key runner fresh from a break. HOT TORQUE INVEGAS (5) hasn't made an impression lately despite market confidence. Last start could only manage seventh over 5f at Townsville. Rock-hard fit now and is worth another chance. LASER BEAM (3) ran below expectations last start, finishing seventh and beaten 3.5 lengths at Mareeba over 6f. Can improve sharply with the claim from the low draw.
