FIRE THE LOT (2) landed midfield first-up and showed a solid finish there, ending up 3.2L off the winner at Bunbury. The rise to 7f now is a big tick and the booking of Parnham is a good push for his chances. Fitter for that effort and has found a nice race to return to winning ways. INTOXICATING (13) drops back in grade today and is on the 7-day turnaround and looks well suited back to this level. CJP sticks with her and the rise in trip looks ideal for her now. Likely to get back in the run but can be finishing off strongly. SHAZAIR (8) felt the pinch late first-up over this course and distance 28 days ago on the back of a nice trial coming in. Fitter for that effort and she has the speed to offset the tricky barrier and the form out of the fresh run has been impressive. Expecting a big run. DOMINANT FORCE (14) continues to improve and is sure to be finishing strongly. ITZABEAST (3) is building nicely and can be in the finish again.

Morning Line

An approximation of expected odds in a race, quoted before actual odds are determined.

Claiming Race

A race in which horses are entered for a certain price, or claiming tag, which is also their sales price. An owner can claim any horse entered for the tag before the race begins, and owns them as soon as the gates open.

State-Bred

A horse bred in a particular state and thus eligible to race in restricted state-bred races. These can be anything from maiden races to stakes events.
