Verdict

KING OF LIGHT (9) resumes off a long break, though he's ready for this judging by his latest trial. Morton's comments suggest he's here to fire with an eye to the eastern states this campaign. 6 ½f first-up is ideal with Pike on board and he can return with a bang. SNOWDOME (2) should get the run of the race from a good draw and is right on the cusp of a drought breaking win. A firmer surface this time should help his chances and he's a winner over this trip previously. Can go one better without surprising. FLURO NEURO (4) comes through the Belmont Newmarket and now gets CJP back on board with the firmer footing suiting. He won the Bolton in good figures and a return to that form would see him hard to hold out. MAN CRUSH (1) can improve third-up into the campaign with an inside barrier. FINAL SIREN (6) is racing well and won't be far away.

Has won previously first-up and resumes here after a break of nine months. Finished off last campaign 14th of 16 at Ascot in the G1 Northerly December 6 over 1m, 7 len behind Cosmic Crusader with 115lbs at $2.40. Previous preparation first-up favourite, won by head Ascot LR Belgravia October 25 over 6f slow track defeating Snitzalatte carrying 125lbs at $4. Interviews suggest he's here and ready to fire - and that's danger signs for his opposition.
