Verdict

VIRESHA (12) got a long way back last start when favourite at Northam, rattling home to miss by 1.5L after being awkwardly away. She showed good ability there at just her second start and while she's likely to get back in the run again, she rates highly on the back of that effort. Can get the job done this time. ROCK THE MARKET (6) was very good on debut, with that form working out well as she went to the paddock. She trialled well recently behind Cannykev and we'll get a good read on that form in the race prior. Needs some luck from the gate but has shown enough to suggest she can win a race like this. BARRAQUITO (13) is on debut for Team Williams and Pike remains in the irons following his latest trial. The inside draw gives Pike options and they've taken a patient approach with her. Can repay their patience on debut. GODLESS STORM (3) wasn't far away last start and has to be included on that effort. RISING FAME (5) is not out of this with form tying through Viresha.

Viresha silk

Raced twice to date. At debut, 5th of 15 at this track Mdn on October 22 over 6f, slow going 3.5 len behind Pony Up carrying 119lbs at $10. Last start 4th of 11 at Northam Mdn on November 6 over 6 ½f, 1.5 len behind Itzabeast carrying 119lbs at $2.50. Flew home from the back last time out and looks the one to beat on that effort.
