AU - Beaudesert - Race 6

PARETO (1) is the form runner, most recently clocking in second over 6f at the Gold Coast in a Class 5. Very fit and although unproven at this sort of distance he should be able to dictate in a race that lacks tactical speed on paper. HOLLYWOOD EPIC (6) went close two back at Toowoomba then was too bad to be true at the same venue at his last appearance five weeks ago. Worth another chance while fresh with ace hoop Jace McMurray taking over. RUBYDOO (7) had been going well until a poor effort over 1 m at Ipswich last Saturday. This looks a more suitable assignment. VACILLATION (8) added to a string of minor placings when a closing third over 1 m at this track last start. Very fit now and is yet to miss the frame in five visits to Beaudesert so he cannot be underestimated. MATAWAI (2) struggled at the end of 1 m here last time but her form at this distance is far more impressive so she deserves another chance.
