Verdict

TIS NO MAN (6) stepped out beyond a mile for the first time last start and absolutely bolted in over 1 ³/16m at the Canberra Acton track. Led by a big space mid-race and kept extending. No reason he won't run a strong 1 ¼m so stick with him. QUEEN TAVANE (9) ran on well to be beaten under a length over 1 5/16m at Goulburn two back in a Class 1. Tired at the end of 1 ½m at Kembla last time but she can make amends dropping back to this more suitable journey. FARRAIGE (8) ended a string of top three finishes with a modest effort at Canterbury recently. Form at or around this trip in the country prior to that run was hard to fault. In the right race to bounce back to form. GIRLY POP (12) hasn't saluted since the maiden win 73 weeks ago but her close fifth over 1 ?m at Newcastle last time puts her in the picture. Likely leader ITALUS (4) is on trial at 1 ¼m. Should give backers a sight but the last part of the race is the query.
