Verdict

HEEZA STEVE (7) did a great job to finish second on a heavy track at Gosford two back. Poor effort at Newcastle six days ago but can be forgiven one bad run. Back sharply in trip but that form displayed two starts ago puts him at top billing. FAWLTY AFFAIRS (3) loomed up at the corner but didn't quite finish his race off last time out over 6 ½f at Scone. Fitter for two runs back from a spell - just has to handle the going to be a major player. AZUCAR (1) got too far back and was never in contention recently over 5 ½f at Forbes. Placed two back over this distance on a soft surface. Should give a good account. FORGIVE ME FATHER (6) was well in commission on debut last start over 5 ?f at the Canberra Acton but had no luck in running and can be forgiven the failure. Draws the fence and deserves another chance. Debutant COOL AZA DUDE (2) trialled well for Gary Portelli recently and is worth monitoring for market confidence.
