Verdict

WESTERN LADY (10) was an impressive winner fresh before just missing in a photo at Bunbury last week. She rises in trip again today which won't pose an issue and Fiore sticks with her. She looks like she's just starting to hit her straps, and with further improvement on the cards she'll be hard to beat. ROYAL TROOPER (8) got back to form last start with a 1.1L defeat at Belmont when on the quick turnaround. He's been freshened since that effort and now lands here 31 days between runs. Nottle's claim comes in handy and he can play a leading role. TOURETTO (2) steps out to 1 ?m for just the second time after closing off steadily behind Asif 21 days ago. We'll get a good look at that form in the opener and he'll find this an easier assignment. Draws better here and can make an impression. BAYHARA (7) missed by 0.5L at Geraldton last start but her run here prior was solid. Can feature. BELLA VIOLETTA (11) is next best getting out in trip for Parnham and Lane.
