Verdict

DRAKAINA (5) was too good in the Jungle Mist Classic over this track and trip first-up when without a trial. Her second-up record is very strong and CJP was able to negate the sticky barrier last start. Back with a bang and there's no reason why she can't go on with the job. KAY TEE WHY (6) flew late last start and was just 0.9L off the winner last start at this track and trip. He gets Pike back in the saddle today and while he's expected to be back in the run, he can be coming home with a wet sail. WUBIN GOLD (4) has trialled well coming in and can fire early in the campaign. She'll need some luck from the inside barrier, but if the breaks come, she'll be flying late in the race. SEPTEMBER BORN (12) looks a cut above these, though the set up today is interesting. Comes through a strong race behind the Railway winner and goes back to sprinting now. SUPERSESSION (9) won the Batavia last start and is not out of this on that effort.
