Verdict

ROYAL TORONADO (6) looks a big improver getting out to 1 ?m now after flying late over the mile most recently. His record at this track and trip is great and the inside draw can see him much closer in the run. Hasn't been to this trip for a while, but this looks a great opportunity to return to winning ways. FUNCHAL (5) just missed when favourite two back over this track and trip before a close defeat again as fav last start when back to the mile. She's a progressive mare who should appreciate getting back out in trip now. Pike sticks with her and there's plenty to like. FOREVER BOY (7) finished off strongly when fresh over the mile, coming through the same race as Toronado and Funchal. He's won second-up previously and it wouldn't surprise to see him take closer order from the good draw today. Big chance. LAVALIER (2) should appreciate getting out in trip now and the inside draw is a big tick. Keep safe. RED SUN SENSATION (1) is next best dropping back in grade.
