Verdict

GUNZ (1) is a lightly raced three-year-old who never runs a bad race. Stalked the pace then tried hard but just missed last start in a BM62 over this distance at Seymour. Handles the going and is yet to miss the frame in four 5f runs. Hard to beat despite the big weight and a wide draw. BIFURCATION (6) has been kept fresh since a luckless fifth here at this distance on 15 May, a race that has thrown up four subsequent winners. Sparingly raced filly who can give this a shake with even luck. RISKY WHISKY (2) raced up on the speed and gave a kick but found one better recently over this distance at Corowa. Untested on heavy ground but he has only raced four times so deserves the benefit of the doubt. UNDER WRAPS (4) led all the way for a very soft maiden win over this journey at Wagga last start. Relished the heavy surface that day so a repeat performance is not out of the question. NOTEABEEL (3) won on debut at Corowa a fortnight ago. Cannot be underestimated.
