SANTOLINI (4) is the hardened danger, coming off a BM50 win at Wagga Riverside and a one-length second to Merchant Reign at Canberra, with weight relief and a strong 5 ?f record keeping her right in the race despite the grade rise. MER CHAR (1) is better than his latest CL3 tenth at this track, having been bumped early and forced to come from the rear, and his prior third here showed he can work home effectively. APPLE CIDER (9) has to bounce off a plain BM52 run at Wodonga, but he raced wide throughout, has won at this track and distance, and that gives him enough substance to sit among the value dangers. WILD ANNIE (8) was solid on resumption and is not to be discounted.
