HOT TODDY (10) has been beaten narrowly in his two runs this time in work, the first-up effort coming here at this trip. Handles the heavy ground and importantly drops 4kgs under today's weight scale. Should be breaking through. IROQUAI (11) has been finding the line with great purpose. Missed the kick again last time but worked home well in heavy going to grab fourth over 6 ½f at Wagga. Going well enough to play a key role. DISTANT STRIPES (4) was on a six-day back-up when safely held at Corowa recently. In the mix if he can find the form that saw him beaten 1.1 lengths here at this trip two starts ago. TOSEN FURY (3) led for the judge but failed to run a strong mile at Wagga last start. Lightly raced and worth another chance coming back in trip. 20-start maiden FOUR ESSES (9) just missed the placings over this course and distance three weeks ago. Each-way chance on that form.
