Verdict

SIYAASI (3) justified the short quote when getting off the mark in style at Gundagai two weeks ago. This doesn't look a great deal tougher and he has plenty of upside. Loy sticking is a big boost. SEASMOKE (5) just missed when resuming at Narrandera last start. Has been kept fresh with 37 days in-between runs and rises to a pet trip. Can go one better. XERXES (1) chased gamely into fifth when resuming at the Sapphire Coast, only beaten 1.5L. Is sure to have come on from that and will appreciate the added trip. ICONIC ROSE (8) lacks early speed but could cause a late scare if the pace is genuine.
