Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel.

Here, we're going to focus on the former, specifically home run props.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some MLB home run props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Please note that betting lines and projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Home Run Props

Alec Bohm To Hit a Home Run (+480)

With the highest-scoring offense in the league on the slate, we'll always look there for some home runs.

The Philadelphia Phillies are firing on all cylinders right now and putting up runs in the blink of an eye, making them an obvious target for offensive props.

Today, we'll turn to Alec Bohm, who is in the midst of a fantastic season at the plate and can put that on display against Andrew Heaney.

This season, Bohm is rocking a 164 wRC+, .404 wOBA, .200 ISO, 35.3% fly-ball rate, and 35.3% hard-contact rate versus left-handed pitchers. Throw in a super-low 13.6% strikeout rate, and Bohm isn't wasting any chances at the plate and is constantly putting the ball in play.

When it comes to Heaney, he struggles versus righties with a .415 SLG, 4.11 xFIP, 1.43 HR/9, 49.1% fly-ball rate, and 30.4% hard-contact rate. With Bohm hitting in a prime position in the lineup, he'll always see good pitches due to the other power hitters around him.

I'll add Bohm To Record an RBI (+120), too.

Elly De La Cruz To Hit a Home Run (+370)

With immense power, Elly De La Cruz is always capable of knocking one over the fence.

De La Cruz is truly one of the most exciting young players in the league, and the raw talent he brings to the plate can result in massive production.

We see that in his splits against right-handed pitchers this season with a 149 wRC+, .388 wOBA, .291 ISO, 36.2% fly-ball rate, 44.9% hard-contact rate, and 32.0% HR/FB ratio. This has led to him hitting eight of his nine home runs off of right-handed pitchers, making this the clear split to target.

Today, he's up against Matt Waldron of the San Diego Padres, who comes in allowing a .560 SLG, .416 wOBA, 4.95 xFIP, 1.89 HR/9, 43.8% fly-ball rate, and 14.3% HR/FB ratio versus left-handed hitters.

With the Cincinnati Reds being at home in one of the best home-run-hitting parks in the league, De La Cruz could knock one out in a hurry. I'll add De La Cruz To Record an RBI (+140), too.
