Pitcher Breakdown

Tyler Glasnow ($11,00) is the highest-salaried pitcher tonight. This is his first start off the injured list, but he's averaging 40.1 FanDuel points per game while ranking third in SIERA (2.71) and second in strikeout rate (33.6%). Tonight, he faces a San Francisco Giants team that is 19th in wRC+ (96) and has a 22.1% strikeout rate against righties. Our MLB DFS projections peg him for a slate-best 35.9 FanDuel points.

Gerrit Cole ($10,000) is coming off his best two outings of the season, logging consecutive quality starts while notching 46 and 49 FanDuel points. He's generated at least 13 whiffs in three straight outings and now takes on a New York Mets lineup that is about league-average in swinging-strike rate (10.8%).

Others to Consider

• Tanner Bibee ($9,400 vs. DET) - Faces a Detroit Tigers lineup that ranks 20th in wRC+ (95) and has the 10th-highest strikeout rate (23.8%) against righties. Bibee is averaging 38.5 FanDuel points per game with a 3.05 ERA over his last 11 starts. We project him for 35.7 FanDuel points, making him the top point-per-dollar value at pitcher (3.8 FanDuel points per $1,000).
• Zach Eflin ($8,000 at TOR) - On the road against the Toronto Blue Jays -- a team that ranks just 16th in OPS (.699) versus righties. Eflin has cracked 40 FanDuel points in two of his last four starts despite facing the New York Yankees twice in that time. He's forced a 48.2% ground-ball rate in his last eight outings.

Stacks to Target

• Texas Rangers (4.79 implied total) -- The Rangers have the slate's highest implied total in a home date with Chris Flexen and the Chicago White Sox. Flexen has a putrid 5.11 SIERA and gave up seven runs in his most recent start. Corey Seager ($3,600; .893 OPS) is Texas' top option against righties, followed by Josh Smith ($3,000; .827 OPS) and Nathaniel Lowe ($2,800; .735 OPS).
• Kansas City Royals (4.67) -- KC has a mouth-watering home matchup with Ryne Nelson's high SIERA (5.24) and barrel rate (11.6%). Bobby Witt Jr. ($4,700; .958 OPS) and Salvador Perez ($3,400; .822 OPS) are priorities versus this split. Michael Massey ($3,000; .741 OPS) could save you some salary.
• New York Yankees (4.66) -- Opposing southpaw Sean Manaea has been better than you may think (3.83 SIERA; 25.7% strikeout rate), but he just gave up five runs to the Miami Marlins and this game is in Yankee Stadium -- Statcast's fourth-best venue for right-handed power. That bodes well for Aaron Judge ($4,800; 1.249 OPS) and Jahmai Jones ($2,100; .925 OPS). Juan Soto ($4,500; .923 OPS) is certainly playable even in a same-handed matchup.
• Baltimore Orioles (4.23) -- Baltimore gets a slight downgrade playing in Miami, but there's upside against Edward Cabrera. Despite a 27.2% strikeout rate, Cabrera has pitched to a 4.68 SIERA with a 13.1% walk rate. We can prioritize Gunnar Henderson ($4,300; .982 OPS) versus a righty, with Ryan O'Hearn ($2,800; .842 OPS) and Heston Kjerstad ($2,500; .859 OPS) helping to offset Henderson's high salary.
