The lengthy MLB season offers a wide array of bets via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Strikeout props are among the popular lines offered. These bets can focus on the over/under of a starting pitcher's strikeout total or alternate lines can be utilized for more intriguing odds.

In this piece, we will dive into the stats to back our favorite strikeout props of the day across the MLB's slate. Which pitchers taking the mound could rack up Ks or which may stumble? We have plenty of tools available that can help us zero in on the top picks, and we'll use stats from numberFire's daily fantasy baseball projections, Baseball Savant, and FanGraphs.

Here are some of the most enticing strikeout props at FanDuel Sportsbook for today's games.

Strikeout Props

Ranger Suarez 6+ Strikeouts (+126)

A date with the Baltimore Orioles, who average a league-leading 5.1 runs per game, has left Ranger Suarez undervalued in the strikeout market.

Yes, Baltimore has hit a league-leading 107 home runs, even managing to outdo the New York Yankees, so we have every right to be threatened by the O's.

However, I still see a pretty clear path for Suarez to punch out six in this one.

He comes in with a 1.81 ERA (second-best in MLB), 2.62 xERA (fifth), and 2.86 SIERA (seventh). Suarez is also striking out 9.6 batters per nine innings and owns a 28.0% K% (12th).

Not accounting for a 26-pitch start he left early due to injury, Suarez has recorded at least six strikeouts in 9 out of 12 starts.

He's made some pretty steep improvements since last year, but even if we account for the entire 2023 season leading into now, Suarez has notched at least six strikeouts in 50.0% of his outings (17 out of 34 starts). These +126 odds imply only a 44.3% probability.

The Orioles enter the night striking out at an intriguing 23.7% rate versus left-handed pitchers (seventh-highest). Suarez has faced only one team that sports a strikeout rate higher than 23.0% versus his handedness (Pittsburgh Pirates; 8 Ks), so he's found plenty of success despite running into tricky matchups.

Chris Sale Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+102)

After years of injuries derailed his career, Chris Sale has found new life in his 15th season in the majors -- and first season with Atlanta Braves.

Sale comes into the night with a 2.70 xERA, 2.43 xFIP, and 2.51 SIERA. He's had no issues finding the strikeout zone, boasting a 31.1% K% (sixth-best in MLB) and punching out 11.09 batters per nine innings.

He's recorded over 7.5 strikeouts in 6 out of 12 starts, missing by the hook on three occasions.

Let's look for this success to continue in a friendly matchup against theTampa Bay Rays.

The Rays have not made the grade versus left-handed pitchers. They rank 15th in wRC+, 17th in slugging percentage, 18th in weighted on-base average, and 20th in on-base percentage.

More importantly, they are striking out against this handedness at an eye-popping 25.3% rate (fourth-highest), and Sale should look to be unforgiving. He is averaging nine strikeouts from three games against teams that sport at least a 25.0 K% versus lefties.

Sean Manaea Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-128)

12 of the last 16 starting pitchers to face the San Diego Padres have recorded under 4.5 strikeouts, and Sean Manaea looks vulnerable enough to join this list tonight.

Manaea is producing a 4.44 xERA, 4.29 xFIP, 4.20 SIERA, and 1.35 WHIP for the New York Mets. These aren't god-awful numbers, but he's by no means an ace. He's also hit a rough patch as of late, surrendering a whopping 11 ER in just 9 2/3 innings across his last two starts.

The Padres own a mere 17.5% K% (second-lowest) versus left-handed pitchers. Six players in their projected lineup come in with somewhere between an 8.0% and 13.0% strikeout rate against lefties, so this is not a matchup that will be fruitful for punchout production.

Manaea has yet to face a team as K-resistant as the Padres, but he has gone up against five teams that ranked in the bottom 10 of K%. In this span, he recorded under 4.5 strikeouts in all but one game.
