3 MLB Prop Bets to Target on Monday 6/3/24

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Please note that betting lines and projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

MLB Player Props

Spencer Steer to Record an RBI (+105)

The first MLB prop bet to consider for tonight's eight-game slate is Spencer Steer to Record an RBI (+105).

It's an ideal matchup as the Cincinnati Reds head to Coors Field to take on the Colorado Rockies.

As you'd expect with Coors Field being in play, the Reds have the best implied total of the night at 5.52, per numberFire's heat map.

Colorado will be starting Ryan Feltner in tonight's contest. The right-handed hurler has a 5.46 ERA and 4.25 SIERA -- tracking with his previous three seasons. He also has a 4.26 FIP. Though Feltner's flyball rates aren't bad, he's got a .256 expected batting average (xBA) entering tonight's game in a park where lucky hits can be rewarded.

Steer is the hitter I like in their lineup. First off, hitting fourth gives him a great chance to drive in runs , which he's done all season with a team-leading 35 RBIs. The first baseman has a .332 wOBA, .164 ISO, 44.9% fly-ball rate, and 32.3% hard-hit rate all will play well at Coors Field.

Steer has five hits in his last two games but has gone seven-straight games without an RBI; it's time he comes through for Cincinnati.

Bryce Harper to Record an RBI (+110)

Bryce Harper is at the heart of the Philadelphia Phillies' lineup and will be counted on to come through tonight.

The Phillies will be facing the Milwaukee Brewers tonight, who has yet to name a starter. Bryse Wilson is expected to take the majority of the innings for the Brewers tonight, tracking to make Philadelphia's lineup a good look overall.

Wilson has a 4.42 SIERA in 48 innings. Along with that, he's allowed a home run in his last four outings. He hasn't been a tough pitcher to beat and has only made it more than five innings three times this season. With a 44.6% fly-ball rate and 38.1% hard-hit rate, the Phillies have a great chance to thrive. Take Harper to Record an RBI (+110) against Wilson and Milwaukee.

The two-time MVP has had a bounce back season thus far after dealing with his recovery from Tommy John for much of the 2023 campaign. Through 55 games, Harper is hitting .270 with a .382 wOBA, .525 slugging, and .898 OPS. Beyond that, he's swatted 14 home runs while driving in 44 runs -- second on the team and tied for sixth in the majors.

The Phillies have a solid 4.91 implied total against Wilson and the Brewers tonight.

Harper crushes the ball when making contact, sporting a 41.6% hard-hit rate with a 42.3% fly-ball rate. With a top-10 ranked hard-hit rate, he's always a threat at the plate. Fire up Harper tonight for the game.

Kyle Tucker to Record 2+ Total Bases (+110)

Kyle Tucker is the third and final prop bet to consider for tonight's slate.

Tucker has had another strong campaign to this point, posting .417 wOBA through 59 games. I'm looking for him to Record 2+ Total Bases (+110) with how many extra-base hits he's already put together this season.

The outfielder has a great matchup against righty starter Kyle Gibson. The 36-year-old starter has 4.38 SIERA, 4.39 FIP, and is watching hitters post a 38.1% hard-hit rate against him -- the highest it's been since 2018. It's a similar rate to how Tucker is driving the ball; he has a 37.0% hard-hit rate himself.

Talking about the extra-base hits of Tucker, the outfielder has 19 home runs and 11 doubles this season. He's managed to crush righties with a .356 ISO, .644 slugging, and 1.066 OPS. There's no doubt he should manage to keep that up tonight against Gibson and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Tucker has notched hits in back-to-back games, so he may be finding his swing again after the previous rough stretch. With the bat going, Tucker is a good option to prevail.
