Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing our projections -- which are powered by numberFire -- as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing via the MLB odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

MLB Player Props

Alec Bohm to Record 2+ Hits (+155)

The Philadelphia Phillies' Alec Bohm is tied for the seventh-highest batting average in baseball at .304. With an average above .300, multiple hits in a game has been a familiar sight for Bohm.

Casey Mize is taking the mound for the Detroit Tigers tonight, and opponents are batting .293 against the right-handed starter in June. Mize's most-used pitches are his four-seam fastball (39.8%) and slider (28.1%), per Baseball Savant. According to Bohm's player page at FanGraphs, he has the most hits against fastballs (42), sinkers (34), and sliders (34).

Mize is also in the bottom 24% of hard-hit percentage while Bohm is carrying a 46.0% hard-hit percentage (76th percentile). This is gearing up to be a great matchup for the Phillies' third baseman.

Reaching two hits is in the cards for one of the National League's most consistent hitters. The odds are intriguing at +155, and we've seen Bohm stack two hits in five of his last nine games.

Elly De La Cruz to Record a Stolen Base (+146)

Elly De La Cruz has held a comfortable cushion for the league's stolen base leader for most of the season. He currently has 37 stolen bases -- 11 more than Brice Turang's second-highest mark. FanDuel continues to offer player specials for De La Cruz's stolen base total; 80+ stolen bases sits at +240 while 100+ stolen bases is +700.

The Cincinnati Reds' infielder has not recorded a stolen bag since June 17th. That's five consecutive games without a steal. It is just a matter of time before Elly swipes another bag.

Hitting slumps have not helped De La Cruz's case as he carried a .206 batting average from June 9th to June 21st. Of course, he will struggle to record stolen bases if he's not getting on base.

Elly has found his footing in recent games, totaling five hits with a .500 batting average over his previous two contests. Tonight's opponent -- the Pittsburgh Pirates -- has the fifth-lowest mark in opponents caught stealing per game and the eighth-highest mark in opponent stolen base percentage.

With De La Cruz hitting well entering this game, give me MLB's stolen base leader to add to his total.

Brent Rooker to Record a Run (-130)

The Oakland Athletics will square off with the Los Angeles Angels on Monday. Griffin Canning is taking the mound for his 16th start of the season, which makes Oakland's batting order an enticing target.

Canning has a 5.02 ERA, 4.93 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), and 1.376 WHIP. He's also touting a 6.23 ERA over his last three contests. We should expect some runs out of Oakland tonight.

Brent Rooker is a good option as he has the third-most runs on the team (27).

Rooker has been regularly getting on base, logging at least one hit in five of his previous six games. Tyler Soderstrom and Shea Langeliers will hit behind Rooker, and each of them has totaled three hits over their previous three games.

Considering Rooker's recent success at the plate and hot hitters waiting behind him, I like his chances of crossing home plate tonight.
