MLB Player Props

Christian Walker to Record an RBI (+105)

The Arizona Diamondbacks have a great matchup tonight against Chicago White Sox starter Chris Flexen. As a result, I'm looking to Christian Walker to be the hitter that comes through, selecting him to Record an RBI (+105) in the game.

Walker has been a consistent bat for the Diamondbacks this season, posting nothing but strong numbers up and down his stat line. The first baseman has a .356 wOBA, 15 home runs, .223 ISO, and .822 OPS. Walker has driven in 46 runs this season, ranking 13th in the majors.

It doesn't stop there with Walker; his 48.6% fly-ball rate and 39.5% hard-hit rate allow him to create noise in every at-bat he has. Whether it be going deep or just driving in a run with a sacrifice fly, I like the odds of him coming through in tonight's contest.

Arizona has a strong 5.06 implied total against the White Sox, per numberFire's heat map.

Flexen will be on the mound for the White Sox. He's done nothing but struggle this season. The 29-year-old has a 5.06 ERA, 4.70 SIERA, 4.57 FIP, and a 1.30 WHIP. Opponents have had no problem getting the ball in the air against him either as shown by the 47.4% fly-ball rate against Flexen.

This is a hitter-pitcher matchup that favors Walker.

Royce Lewis to Record 2+ Total Bases (-120)

Royce Lewis isn't slowing down anytime soon.

The Minnesota Twins are taking on the Oakland Athletics tonight, making for an inviting game for the high-octane offense of Minnesota. The A's will start rookie hurler Mitch Spence.

Spence has been good for the A's, pitching 51 1/3 innings for Oakland and sporting a 3.77 SIERA. In the 16 games he's pitched, 5 have been starts.

It's still been a mixed bag with Spence allowing five-plus hits in four of the five starts. He's also got a 1.15 WHIP and 3.78 expected FIP (xFIP).

With the way Lewis has been swinging through 10 games this season, I'm feeling good about his chances tonight to Record 2+ Total Bases (-120).

He's hitting .382 with a spectacular .532 wOBA, 5 home runs, .500 ISO, 2 doubles, an an 1.288 OPS. The third baseman has logged hits in six straight games and has back-to-back games of multi-hit performances.

Lewis has an insane 56.7% fly-ball rate and is driving the ball at a 43.3% hard-hit rate. There's no reason to believe he's slowing down tonight despite Spence's modest peripherals.

Nick Gonzales to Record 2+ Total Hits (+180)

Since his call-up, Nick Gonzales has been the best hitter in the Pittsburgh Pirates' lineup.

Pittsburgh is heading to Coors Field tonight to kick off a series against the Colorado Rockies. When Coors Field is in the conversation, you have to consider any and all options, and they'll be starting Ryan Feltner -- making for an even better matchup for anyone in the Pirates' lineup.

The Pirates have a gaudy implied total tonight, sitting at 5.20 runs against Feltner and the Rockies.

Starting for the Rockies is never easy with Coors Field being a tough place to pitch, but Feltner has had a tough season anywhere. The righty has a 5.74 ERA to go along with a 4.10 SIERA, 4.04 FIP, 1.17 HR/9, and 1.48 WHIP. He's coming off a scoreless start, but his two games before that saw 13 runs scored against him. Pittsburgh has the right matchup to succeed tonight.

Gonzales has thrived through 29 games. The 25-year-old has a .306 batting average, .357 wOBA, .194 ISO, and an .839 OPS. I like Gonzales to Record 2+ Total Hits (+180) in this one.

He has nine multi-hit games so far this season and can add a 10th to his quality campaign exiting a day off.
