3 MLB Player Prop Bets to Target on Monday 9/11/23

Player props can be useful in a variety of ways -- from taking advantage of them straight up to measuring a player's potential to produce in daily fantasy baseball on FanDuel. Here, we're going to focus on the former.

Utilizing numberFire's projections as a guide, here are some MLB player props bets that look appealing.

Please note that betting lines and numberFire's game projections may change throughout the day after this article is published. Also, the weather may be an issue in some locations.

Julio Rodriguez To Hit a Home Run (+450)

Even though the NFL season is underway, there are still plenty of great MLB props to consider tonight.

The Seattle Mariners have a 4.39 implied run total tonight and a matchup to help get them back on track. A three-game losing streak is a tough spot to be when you're in the midst of a tight Wild Card race, but the Mariners are up against Reid Detmers tonight and can get the offense going.

This season, Detmers has allowed a .387 SLG, 1.04 HR/9, 42.1% fly-ball rate, and 36.8% hard-contact rate versus right-handed hitters. This should put several hitters in an advantageous spot tonight but all eyes should be on Julio Rodriguez.

Not only is this a great matchup for Rodriguez but his odds are amazing tonight. Getting +450 for one of the hottest hitters in the league is something to jump on.

He comes in with a 138 wRC+, .366 wOBA, .184 ISO, 38.8% fly-ball rate, and 18.5% HR/FB ratio versus left-handed pitchers. This is a great matchup for him so I'll add Rodriguez To Record an RBI (+145), too.

Rafael Devers To Record 2+ Total Bases (-125)

Metaphorically speaking, Rafael Devers owns the New York Yankees.

Seemingly each and every time Devers is up against the Yankees he is putting up big offensive numbers. In 96 career games against the Yankees, Devers has 95 hits, 23 home runs, and 61 RBIs.

Those are elite numbers and he should only add to them tonight with a matchup against Clarke Schmidt.

Schmidt has struggled this season versus lefties with a .374 wOBA, .504 SLG, 4.89 xFIP, .354 BABIP, 1.23 HR/9, and a 36.9% fly-ball rate.

For Devers, he's elite versus righties with a 123 wRC+, .360 wOBA, .296 BABIP, .228 ISO, 43.8% hard-contact rate, and 37.7% fly-ball rate. There should be nothing slowing Devers down tonight and grabbing another two bases against the Yankees.

Pete Alonso To Record an RBI (+110)

The New York Mets have a solid 4.71 implied run total tonight against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The DBacks will have Zach Davies on the mound tonight and simply put, Davies is not a good pitcher. There is nothing in his pitching profile that should make you worried and in fact, we should be excited to see him on the mound.

Davies comes in with a .361 wOBA, .477 SLG, 4.45 xFIP, .362 BABIP, 9.6% walk rate, 1.15 HR/9, 36.5% fly-ball rate, and 36.7% hard-contact rate allowed versus right-handed hitters.

This should lead us to Pete Alonso, who has plenty of offensive capability with a 127 wRC+, .353 wOBA, .294 ISO, 48.3% fly-ball rate, and 36.4% hard-contact rate versus righties. Alonso will have plenty of chances at the plate to drive in a run tonight.
